Some of you may already be familiar with the name William Commanda, while others might be hearing it for the first time, just as I did a few years ago.
Today, for those who are discovering him for the first time, I want to introduce you to an esteemed Elder who has significantly influenced the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Canada and around the world. His work has profoundly impacted the pursuit of Peace on our planet.
A remarkable Elder, he dedicated much of his life to promoting Indigenous awareness and protecting and preserving our Mother Earth along with all her children—humans, animals, trees, rivers, air, lands, rocks, and more.
In honor of his legacy on the anniversary of his passing (coming up on August 3rd), I invite you to watch this Facebook Live from May 21, 2024, where I discuss with Romola Vasantha Thumbadoo and friends how William Commanda‘s extraordinary wisdom has deeply influenced my life and why it is essential for me to keep his legacy – Circle of All Nations – alive for future generations.
